An exclusive retreat perched above the famous River Derwent in leafy waterside Sandy Bay, Hobart, Tasmania.

The Last Villa is a project of Steven Last, multi-award winning Tasmanian architect, photographer, artist and wine connoisseur. Steven was instrumental in influencing the cafe bar culture in Tasmania, and gained the National Australian Hotel Association Award for his design of MONA founder David Walsh's first hospitality project.

Steven has inside knowledge of local art, culinary and tourism destinations, and is passionate about giving visitors an experience that far exceeds their expectations.

This boutique accommodation offers spectacular views, watching the Sydney–Hobart yachts arrive, the cruise ships settle, the snow-capped peaks of Mt Wellington and the city of Hobart. It's just a short stroll to Battery Point, renowned seafood restaurants and Lipscombe Larder for fresh Tasmanian local produce.

With five eclectic fully self-contained apartments in a landmark building, The Last Villa is ideal for those wanting a city retreat - whether a couple or corporate group.
